While on the red carpet for Be A Star, a FOX sports interviewer asked John Cena about misconceptions about WWE. He replied, “I think that we are exactly who we are on television. You can come to an event like this and see everybody is toned down. Everybody is arm in arm and sending in a positive message. We have moments where we get along if we need to, for a common good.”

This interview was during the hype for SummerSlam 2011 was building. If you have forgotten, SummerSlam 2011 was the event that changed Cena’s WWE trajectory. While the fans still cheered him at the time, his match with CM Punk would divert fans into booing Cena.
