The untimely passing of George Floyd and the protests that have followed haven’t left any aspect of American life untouched. Corporations, which are a big part of American society have been forced to make their stand clear on the issue. That’s what has pushed WWE to bring out their own statement regarding the situation.

Notably, various superstars had already expressed solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. However, there were also those like Jaxson Ryker who stood with President Donald Trump.

“WWE supports an inclusive society and condemns racial injustice. We stand behind our Black performers, employees and fans around the world, and encourage everyone to use their voice to speak out against racism.

“We offer our sincere condolences to the family of George Floyd and the families of countless others who have lost their lives due to senseless violence,” WWE said in a statement.

Now, WWE has gone one step further by addressing an email to all its employees stressing the importance of diversity.

What does the email sent out by WWE say?

The email was sent out by Vince McMahon himself. It highlighted the reasons for diversity being so important while also offering 24/7 mental counseling.

Additionally, provisions were also made for feedback. An email would be made available that every WWE employee can use to bring diversity concerns to the attention of the management.

A link was attached through which the employees can take training in diversity courses.

It must be highlighted that the company has faced a lot of criticism in the past due to its racially insensitive storylines. In addition, the McMahons also enjoy a very close relationship with US President Donald Trump.
