The world of wrestling is buzzing with the return of John Cena and the potential return of Dwayne Johnson. However, the current United States Champion Sheamus is not too thrilled about the news. He feels that the return is hyped more than it needs to be.

Sheamus also feels he is better than the part-time wrestlers in question. In a recent episode of Ryan Satin’s Out of Character podcast, ‘The Celtic Warrior’ claimed he is better than a lot of WWE wrestlers. Speaking on ‘The Great One‘ and John Cena, Sheamus stated that he is more relaxed than ever before and even added that he could “skin them alive” in a ring.

Sheamus said, “I’m constantly gonna go out there and prove that I’m better than everybody else, whether it’s John Cena coming back or even The Rock coming back. I just want an opportunity to show them [fans] that I can skin them [everyone in WWE, including Cena and The Rock] alive in that ring, and I know I can.

“And it’s just the confidence over the last couple of years of me being able to relax in my own skin, drop my ego, not worry about what other people are thinking, not overthink stuff.” (H/t Sportskeeda)

Sheamus has managed to rejuvenate the interest of the WWE Universe in the prestigious United States Championship. The belt seemingly lost its past glory as WWE introduced newer championships, like the WWE Universal Championship. Sheamus is a defending champion who isn’t scared to put his title on the line.

Cena returned to WWE the very night the live audience came back. The entire WWE Universe could not contain their excitement when Cena’s music hit. Now Roman Reigns has to again deal with John Cena. Both wrestlers previously went head to head at the No Mercy pay-per-view in 2017, which Reigns won.
