WWE Veteran Explains Why Rhea Ripley “Doesn’t Need to Switch Babyface” Even Though Fans Like Her a Lot

Rhea Ripley is almost always the center of attention among fans. The female wrestler will probably continue to be on top of everybody’s mind because of her character. A WWE veteran recently talked about the love that fans have for Ripley. He even went on to suggest a great and useful tip for her future in wrestling.

While there are people loving Ripley for her heel character, the writers shouldn’t forget the basic essence of the character. The former WWE writer talked about this in detail in a recent podcast.

What should Rhea Ripley be concerned about?

There is no doubt that fans have an immense love for Ripley and her character. All that she has achieved, fans support her throughout. This admiration doesn’t only stay up to her achievements but also her kayfabe persona. It won’t be a shocker for even the new fans to realize that Mami is indeed a heel. The way that she plays her character has got everybody in amusement with how ‘cool’ she is. However, this coolness also comes with a bit of responsibility.

Jim Cornette is an American author who has also worked for the WWF as a writer. Considering his experience with writing as well as with the promotion, Cornette’s words cannot be ignored.

The former WWE staff said, “the reason why people are starting to like Rhea is that she’s at the point where she’s becoming the ‘cool’ heel but she doesn’t need to switch Babyface. Because then she’d be out tickling toddlers under the chin and being all ‘nice’ and that would kill what people like about what she’s doing.”

Cornette explained that even though Mami is being appreciated by fans, she need not turn to the good side. This is simply because fans admire her for the character that she displays. Once she is out of it, fans may not see her the same way. The ‘coolness’ that Ripley is popular for will be gone this way.

The Eradicator is all set to fight Charlotte Flair for her title in her seventh reign. Fans have been waiting for the WrestleMania 30 bout for quite some time now. Mami will show Flair what she is made of while Flair defends her title like ‘The Queen’ that she is.
