A lot of eyebrows were raised following WWE’s decision to release some superstars earlier this month. Surprisingly, The Rock’s cousin was one of those superstars who recently got released. Well, here we are not talking about Roman Reigns, here we are talking about the former Raw Women’s Champion, Nia Jax.
Former WWE writer Vince Russo feels WWE took a risk by releasing The Rock’s cousin, Nia Jax. Jax’s release could play a vital role in WWE’s plans for The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment. Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Dr. Chris Featherstone, the former WWE writer claimed WWE should not have released Nia Jax, at least until The Rock faces Roman Reigns.

Russo said, “Bro, I don’t care if the woman has messed up a thousand times. I don’t know how that plays to The Rock, and if I’m WWE and I’m thinking of Reigns versus Rock, if I’ve gotta pay Nia Jax to make Rock happy, I’m paying Nia Jax. That was the only thing that I was like. I mean, that’s Rock’s cousin there.”

For several years, there have been rumors of The Rock going up against his cousin, Reigns at WrestleMania. Though there has been no confirmation yet, Vince McMahon will surely want the cousins to go head-to-head inside the squared circle. If Vince pulls it off, it will be a dream come true moment for the WWE universe. We hope the WWE universe gets to witness it soon.
Nia Jax opens up about her WWE release
Following her release from WWE, Nia Jax recently took to social media to throw light on her shocking release. The former Raw Women’s Champion claimed in her Instagram post the company did not mention her vaccination status, and they did not give her any options.

The former Raw Women’s Champion noted she took a short mental health break with the support of the company. But when WWE asked her to return on November 15, she insisted on an extension to her break. However, there were no words from the company in response to Nia’s request for the extension.

The next thing which Nia Jax heard was that she got released by the company. Jax was left shocked by this decision. Not only Nia, but even many superstars were also disappointed with Nia’s release.
