Veteran superstar Charlotte Flair surprised fans when she made a surprise comeback to the company during December 30′ SmackDown episode. Adding more to the surprise, The Queen also reclaimed WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship title dethroning Ronda Rousey in a blink. Charlotte Flair was in the dark about the title-win

Charlotte was absent from the sport during the second half of 2022, primarily for her dental surgeries. Perhaps it was the longest break of her career since her debut in 2012. However, in a recent interview with the ‘Out of Character’ podcast, the star explained how she didn’t even find out that she’d be winning the title until the very last minute. “Right around Christmas. I really wanted to come back at Survivor Series, but I had just finished getting my last stitches out. So he was like, ‘don’t push it.’ I got the greenlight the week of New Year’s.”, she stated.

The champion also mentioned how being in a dilemma caused her to almost break a fundamental rule of the sport, as she didn’t have her ring apparel with her. Later, her cleaning woman came to her rescue. ”I didn’t find out I was winning the title until I got there. I didn’t have gear with me. My amazing cleaning lady brought me my gear. I should have known better. I’m coming to a wrestling show, I just brought my outfit,” she disclosed.

Charlotte’s achievements over the years

The 14-time women’s world champion had a historic career to boast about. Her numerous achievements include the 2020 Royal Rumble win, the first-ever women’s Hell in a Cell match win and being a part of the first-ever women’s main event at WrestleMania. During her incredible 10-year career, Charlotte transformed herself into a fierce force to reckon with.

No matter if the critics like it or not, the records and numbers say it all. After all, The Queen successfully proved the fact that she has much more to her than just a highly famous last name. However, 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble Champion Rhea Ripley choose Charlotte as her opponent in the upcoming WrestleMania 39.
