The Attitude Era took pro-wrestling entertainment to a level that nobody would have imagined. Especially, Dwayne Johnson and Stone Cold Steve Austin played their part astonishingly, which majorly helped WWE fill arenas and win the Monday Night Wars.

Moreover, the rivalry between The Rock and Austin is still a hot topic among the WWE fandom even after two decades. Their stardom is on the top of the list of the most iconic feuds in the history of pro wrestling. 

Recently, music producer KLSH shared a tweet regarding Dwayne Johnson and Stone Cold Steve Austin. The tweet said, “bruh there was nothing better than @steveaustinBSR vs @TheRock.”

Later, The People’s Champ replied to the tweet. He wrote that no other era will ever match the Attitude Era and claimed pro wrestling was on fire, with the premium events being the major business at the time.

Further, The Rock recalled a motto he and Austin followed, “if we don’t draw PPV’s, then we don’t f**kin’ eat”. The Great One said that the fans felt the passion he and The Rattlesnake had, which led WWE to become a major company. Moreover, he ended the tweet by calling Stone Cold Steve Austin a GOAT in pro -wrestling.

WWE fans react to Dwayne Johnson remembering the Attitude Era 

It will always be a lively discussion if someone talks about The Rock vs Stone Cold Steve Austin. They ruled the Attitude Era, and more importantly, their rivalry had set a benchmark for the future WWE superstars to recreate magic.

Every wrestling fan will agree on the point that Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock brought a lot of zeal for them with their matchless rivalry. Also, they had a unique in-ring chemistry, which made the fans go berserk. However, in a 2015 interview, when asked which Hollywood celebrity would Austin like to face, his answer was The Rock.

In his interview with KiddNation, The Texas Rattlesnake said, “As far as celebrity goes, I don’t know. What’s okay since The Rock is a celebrity I think it would be fun to get back in the ring with The Rock. But I’m not pitching a match, since you said celebrity, Rocks the biggest movie star in the world.”

Austin claimed he had fun working with The Rock and they both respect each other’s careers. If there was a potential match in 2015, the WWE universe would have gone crazy. Although we never got to see The Rock vs Austin again, Stone Cold came out of retirement for one match at WrestleMania 38 against Kevin Owens.
