Daily Star Online recently conducted an interview with a former WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston. In the interview, they asked Kofi about one of his intense rivals, Randy Orton.

Kingston spoke openly about his co-worker and insisted that ‘The Viper’ had to be in the conversation of being the best that the wrestling world had to offer.

Kofi explained, “The whole premise of ‘who is the best’ [is] really subjective – it’s just what you like. As far as Randy is concerned, I think he has the ability to do so many things so well.

“A lot of people think that because he doesn’t do a lot of moves, he’s not good, but that’s simply not true. The industry is not about the moves; it is about being able to connect with the crowd and express what you’re thinking without saying things a lot – to make people watch you.”

Kofi even went on to say that in his mind Orton was already a Hall of Famer. He disclosed that he would tell none of this to Orton as ‘The Viper‘ would never let him live any of it down.

So Orton will never hear these words come out of Kofi’s mouth, but Kingston couldn’t sit there and lie saying Randy’s not up there.

Randy’s speed hinders his performance?

Elaborating on Randy’s performance in the ring, Kofi stated that Orton looks a certain way, flexes in a certain way and the people feel that.

That’s the stuff that makes a wrestler great and not just good. Kofi continues that what Randy does is unique. He does so much without doing anything at all.

“If you watch Randy move around the ring, he moves so slowly and every step has a purpose – you can’t take your eyes off him, yet he doesn’t ‘do’ anything, right? To be able to do that is an absolute talent,” admitted Kofi.

Kofi also praised Orton to be able to last so long and declared that ‘The Viper’ is even more fascinating now in a lot of different ways. As a performer, Kofi can’t have the conversation about the greatest wrestler without having Orton in there.

Randy Orton is the most experienced wrestler on the roster and Kofi can’t think of anyone who presently has more experience than him. This is one of the reasons Kofi has such respect for Orton.
