Respect and admiration for one’s co-worker go a long way in showing that person’s character. This implies to WWE Superstars as well. Over the years, we have seen many wrestlers come out and speak well of their co-workers and opponents. In a recent interview, Charlotte Flair did the same.

Charlotte Flair praises her opponents
In a recent interview with the ‘Hindustan Times‘, Charlotte Flair showed admiration towards her future opponent, Rhea Ripley, before their match at WWE WrestleMania Backlash. Speaking on Rhea, she said, “She has an aura around her. When she comes out, you feel her presence. She oozes that appeal. That is half the battle, the owing the room.”
This was a beautiful moment of sportsmanship. Even though Rhea was her opponent, Flair did not bad-mouth her once. This shows that Charlotte is called ‘The Queen’ for a reason.
Unfortunately for Flair, her admirable words could not win her the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania Backlash. Rhea Ripley retained her championship after she hit Asuka with the Riptide to pick up the win.
Interestingly, since Flair was not the one to tap out or get pinned, WWE could still book her for another shot at the title. The prospect remains to be seen.

Flair respects Asuka
In the interview, Charlotte also praised Asuka for being at the top of her game. She said,
“I think it has to do with how much I respect her as a performer and as a human. I believe going into WrestleMania 34, Asuka had nothing to prove. She had made a name for herself, travelled all around the world, come from Japan and had the longest unbeaten streak in WWE history. And I felt like if I beat her that would cement my legacy.”
Flair remembers when they faced off, it was like Asuka had nothing to lose and Flair had everything to prove. ‘The Nature Girl‘ reports that since last year’s WrestleMania, ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ has been the MVP of Raw. She feels like they are always shoulder to shoulder. “She is one of the greatest I have ever faced,” concluded Charlotte.
