Johnny Gargano took the first shot, referring to the time when Kross tried to hit him with his car. His final point was that there should be no games or tricks but two Superstars who meet in the ring and battle it out.

To this, Karrion Kross responded with a video, and he compared Gargano to the bugs that crawl in and out of dog waste. He explained there will be nobody else apart from them at The Great American Bash.

Both special enforcer Samoa Joe and General Manager William Regal took to social media to react to the situation. Both of them expressed how the match will be straightforward with no tricks, and both of them will be present at the event.

Karrion Kross had taken down Johnny Gargano at TakeOver

Prior to TakeOver, O’Reilly, Gargano, and Dunne had a triple threat match to decide the number one contender for the NXT Championship. However, Adam Cole returned and attacked the Superstars during their match.

Following that, Cole demanded a NXT Championship match which General Manager William Regal did not agree to. He claimed that he was the face of NXT, and Karrion Kross was overrated. This infuriated The Herald of Doomsday, and he came out to the ring.

Now, Even though William Regal was not ready to grant Adam Cole a title opportunity, Kross said something which changed the General Manager’s mind. Champion Kross said he is ready to take on all four at the same time, and this intrigued William Regal.

Everyone who participated in the Fatal 5-Way match were capable Superstars, and WWE could have put over any of them. However, Karrion Kross defeated all four of them and retained the title. The win came after Kross put Kyle O’Reilly in the Kross Jacket, and the referee called for the bell.
