Edge returned to the blue brand after ten years on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown. His quest to find a suitable champion led him to the ‘Tribal Chief,’ who wasn’t pleased with Edge’s mind games.

Roman Reigns tried to force Edge into choosing him as his opponent for WrestleMania, but a stunner from Kevin Owens cut the segment short. This led to Paul Heyman issuing a stern warning to WWE official Adam Pearce.

Owens is the fly that Reigns cannot swat away, and his special counsel Paul Heyman has taken matters into his own hands.

Roman Reigns wants to face Edge at WrestleMania. Everyone knows a match with Edge will guarantee the main event spot at WrestleMania., and ‘The Tribal Chief’ wants his fifth WrestleMania main event.

Heyman claims Pearce has allowed Edge to steer the WWE off course by playing mind games with Roman Reigns. One can safely assume that Edge is now living inside Reigns’ mind rent-free, and Heyman is correcting the mistake. He also warned Pearce against offering Kevin Owens anymore title shots.

According to Paul Heyman, refusing to heed his words could get Pearce fired. We highly doubt that Heyman holds such power, but since returning to the WWE, Heyman and Reigns have transformed into bullies.

The rivalry with Kevin Owens has neither added heat to Reigns’ title reign, nor taken away his momentum. After beating him on three separate occasions, Reigns should move on to another opponent. With WrestleMania two months away, it is time to set the plans in motion.

Roman might have to defend the title once or twice on the Road to WrestleMania, but he absolutely has to retain the gold. A match with Edge would be the biggest match of Roman’s meteoric career. Reigns deserves a marquee match at WrestleMania and is the only champion worth facing Edge.

At Elimination Chamber, Reigns will walk out of the haunting structure with the title on his shoulder. Out of nowhere, Edge hit him with a vicious spear.

This will lead to a month of intense build, full of promos by Edge, Heyman and Reigns. Reigns vs Edge is too big a rivalry for WWE to miss out on, and WrestleMania is the perfect place for it to culminate.
