Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of the most popular Hollywood stars currently. But prior to his success in Hollywood, he had a phenomenal run in WWE. In his WWE career so far, he had won several championships. Though he has not competed in a match since 2016, his love for pro wrestling is still the same.

His father, Rocky Johnson, was also a popular name in this pro wrestling business. And the former WWE Champion has this passion for pro wrestling since his childhood days. And the fans got to see an example of that in an episode of Young Rock, a sitcom based upon the life of Johnson.

In February 2021, on Twitter, a fan talked about a memorable scene from one of the Young Rock episodes. As mentioned by the fan on Twitter, a young Johnson knocked out a kid or his fellow schoolmate at school for calling wrestling “fake” in that scene. The fan revealed this scene made his day.

In reply to this tweet, Dwayne Johnson claimed that this incident indeed happened in his real life. In his tweet, The Rock admitted that such an incident happened twice, and he got suspended both times. He further revealed why he did so.

He noted, “I pile drived a kid in elementary. KO’d a kid in high school. Got suspended both times. I was wrong. But back in the 80s I was taught by my dad and all the wrestlers to always “protect the business”. It’s what we we did.”

This reveals how much passion and love ‘The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment‘ has for pro wrestling. The pro wrestlers really put their body on the line every time, even though most of the results in pro wrestling might be predetermined.

Is Dwayne Johnson going to take a break from Hollywood to return to pro wrestling?

For months, there have been rumors about Dwayne Johnson returning to WWE. As per the rumors, The Rock might compete in a match against Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 39.

However, there has been no official confirmation yet. But the fans will surely love this match to happen. Also, it has been a long time since the fans got to see Dwayne Johnson live on WWE television.
