WWE wrestlers are used to wrestling in front of thousands of fans in jam-packed arenas. Back in the day, WWE was huge while TNA was like a small start-up in comparison. One of the main attractions of the TNA brand was WWE Hall of Famer, Kurt Angle. His move from WWE to TNA meant he had to wrestle in front of a relatively smaller crowd.

In a recent episode of “The Kurt Angle Show”, Angle was asked about his feelings on wrestling in front of a 1200 to 1500 capacity crowd from 60 to 70000 capacity crowd. Angle admitted it was indeed tough for him to adjust to the environment, but he delivered his absolute best.

“Well, it was an adjustment you know. Wrestling in front of a smaller crowd, it was a bit tough. I mean, you know, you’re spoiled when you’re in WWE. You know you have sold out shows everywhere, but TNA was a much smaller company.

But it was a great smaller company. They did great ratings on Spike TV. We’re doing two million viewers a week. We had a good little run so I don’t regret my decision, but you know it was difficult at the beginning to adjust to it.”

We can’t blame the Olympic Goal Medalist for his words. Working with the WWE meant huge arenas and full crowds. TNA had a much smaller arena and thus smaller crowds. However, some fans believe TNA was better than the WWE. We will leave that debate up to the fans.

The fans loved Kurt Angle in TNA

The TNA was one of a kind and so the wrestlers who worked in it were also different from the lot. Kurt Angle was at the forefront of the company. Angle was so loyal to Vince McMahon that he could not say no to him about switching companies.
