WWE Fans Frustrated With Asuka’s Championship Match Booking at Clash of Champions

WWE possibly hit their lowest approval rating earlier today. In an Instagram post, the company announced that Asuka will defend her Raw Women’s Championship at Clash Of Champions next week, but against Zelina Vega.

The announcement received a lot of criticism since such a prestigious title was booked so poorly. Moreover, the title match will be taking place at the Kick-off show rather than the main event itself.

Fans have posted their hate for this on social media, especially Twitter. Judging from the comment section of the Instagram post, fans are not happy at all.

The fact is that Zelina Vega isn’t a big name yet and has only just gotten the push. To compete at such a stage so quickly highlights just how fresh out of ideas the Raw roster is. The lack of a solid Raw Women’s division is really starting to show in the content.

WWE fans could have accepted and even loved a continuation of the Mickie James feud. James, a WWE legend, has the experience as well as the right to perform at major PPVs.

WWE should have kept the Raw Women’s title as a main event match

In fact, she definitely has another major title run left in her. WWE could use this until it pushes the other Raw female Superstars enough. Zelina Vega is also a very capable competitor. If WWE did want to push jer, they should not have kept the Raw Wo,

Although not a major headlining match, WWE could have done a lot with Mickie James, given her experience. However, James has not been giving the final push yet.

Vega, Peyton Royce, Mandy Rose, and Bianca Belair need time but they will surely blossom into the faces of Raw’s Women’s division. However, booking Zelina Vega against Asuka as a kick-off show was surely not the way to go.

It is clear that the feud will go past Clash of Champions unless Peyton Royce is sent to the doorstep of “The Empress of Tomorrow” next.
