After Announcing His Collaboration With Veteran-Aiding Foundation, Dwayne Johnson Signals Fans to Join Him in His New Project

Dwayne Johnson is not just called ‘The People’s Champ’ for nothing. The pro wrestler does generous acts to help the people, just like the ‘People’s Fund of Maui’ that he and Oprah Winfrey set up to help those affected by the Maui wildfires. This time around he is lending his support for the US veterans just 1 week before Veterans Day.

Dwayne Johnson supports the Travis Manion Foundation

Dwayne Johnson has a great amount of respect for US veterans as we’ve seen in the past. And this time around, he has got Project Rock involved as well. Dwayne Johnson took to Twitter to lend Project Rock’s support to the Travis Manion Foundation.

The foundation helps veterans, survivors, and families of veterans to rediscover their purpose and find a sense of belonging. Specifically, Johnson voiced support for the foundation’s Spartan Leadership Program by Marine Corps Major Brian Chontosh.

Dwayne Johnson encouraged his fans to also lend their support to the Travis Manion Foundation by going over and purchasing from the Project Rock Collection. The proceeds from this will eventually go to the Travis Manion Foundation.

Recently, Oprah Winfrey and Johnson set up the ‘People’s Fund of Maui’ to financially help people who lost their homes in the Maui fires in August 2023. But in spite of such a noble gesture, Johnson and Oprah received a lot of backlash for their charity.

Dwayne Johnson and Oprah Winfrey donated $10 million of their own money to the ‘People’s Fund of Maui’. But in spite of this, the charity received a lot of criticism on social media.

Primarily as people were unhappy that both these celebrities were asking the common man to chip in when they are super rich. Post the backlash, Johnson took to his Instagram to apologize for his error.

He said, “I get it and I completely understand, and I could’ve been better. And next time I will be better”. Johnson then added, “money ain’t falling out of the sky, and it’s not growing on trees, and there’s a lot of people out there who’s living paycheck to paycheck.
