With Taylor Swift’s Kansas City Chiefs beating the San Francisco 49ers in overtime to win Super Bowl LVIII, this year’s Bowl was a thrill to behold for sure. However, as much as the game is looked forward to, a key portion of the fun also comes from the several commercials on during the game. This year, several stars like John Cena, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Dwayne Johnson appeared in Super Bowl commercials.
It’s no surprise that past and present WWE stars featured in several famous ads that aired during the Super Bowl. While some people still watch the Super Bowl for the sport, WWE fans may have had simply as much fun seeing Austin, Cena, and other wrestlers in ads.

What other WWE legend stars featured in Super Bowl LVIII ads?
The game always provides a glorious mix of entertainment and sporting events. Weeks prior to the Super Bowl, brands released several of their well-financed commercials for the game featuring John Cena, Steve Austin, Jade Cargill & many more.
While the Kansas City Chiefs played the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl on Sunday, WWE star John Cena was seen in an ad. A commercial for Fan Duel showed John Cena enjoying Rob Gronkowski’s missed field goal. Gronkowski used to be the WWE 24/7 Champion.
Cold as stone, Steve Austin wore a mullet in an ad for his favorite motorcycle brand, Kawasaki. Fans look forward to the Super Bowl ads yearly just as much as the game. During this year’s LVIII Super Bowl, WWE star “Stone Cold” Steve Austin was in one of the spots.
Austin was in an ad for the Japanese car company Kawasaki for their Ridge side-by-side truck. The ad’s main idea was based on the mullet that The Texas Rattlesnake wore. The phrase “Business in the front, party in the back” really explained the ad. In a funny turn of events, every person or animal in the truck’s way got a haircut as it went by.
Mountain Dew also released its 2024 Super Bowl ad, which stars former AEW star Jade Cargill, who used to be a TBS Champion. In the ad, actress Aubrey Plaza promotes the company’s range of Baja Blast flavored products.
Aubrey says she can “have a blast” anywhere, even in a wrestling ring. In the video, she is lying in a ring while Cargill is about to hit her hard from the top rope.

There may be a sign of how well-liked Jade Cargill is as a crossover star in WWE that she appeared in a Mountain Dew ad with Aubrey Plaza, even though she has only wrestled one match for the company so far.
Meanwhile, this year’s Super Bowl also saw the release of the official WrestleMania 40 trailer, featuring Dwayne Johnson, Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes. However, this isn’t Johnson’s first Super Bowl appearance in the commercials. Back in 2022, Johnson released an advertisement for his energy drink venture, ZOA, which featured him as the main actor.
