Some time ago, the XFL and USFL merged operations to form the United Football League (UFL). With play set to kick off in late March, the promotion has looked towards creating buzz.

In lieu of this goal, the Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson-led promotion made headlines with their recent signing of YouTube sensation Deestroying, Donald De La Haye Jr., with the San Antonio Brahmas.

The San Antonio Brahmas have gotten their hands on the Costa Rican-American YouTuber and professional American football kicker. Deestroying played college football at the University of Central Florida (UCF) before making a name for himself through YouTube, where he currently has 5.7 million subscribers. Reacting to joining the UFL in an extended video on his YouTube channel, De La Haye exclaimed “I could cry right now, bro,” before reading a text asking him to kick for the Brahmas.

Maybe I have to go to USFL, maybe I have to go play in Europe. Do something. And literally in this moment is where it all just became clear.”

However, it won’t be easy for Deestroying by any means, as hasn’t kicked in a game for over six years. And with the current roster consisting of Christopher Dunn and Matt Ammendola, he surely would have to perform at his level best. Though the fact that the Brahmas do not have a punter in their roster could work in his favor as he does have a lot of experience with it.
