“What’s He Doing Out There?”: Dwayne Johnson Got Roasted By NFL’s Elite For His Super Bowl Performance

Dwayne Johnson will arguably go down as ‘The Great One’ in WWE and in Hollywood. The Rock is one of the few celebrities across the world who is successful in multiple careers. Furthermore, Johnson is now excelling as a businessman too, by investing in several ventures in the past few months.

The former WWE Champion never had plans for the career in which he today is successful. Johnson wanted to make a career in the NFL. However, due to an injury, he was sidelined, and never got a chance to play again. He has a soft spot for the sport and is always trying to be involved so some way. Early this year in February, he kicked off the Super Bowl.

Dwayne Johnson was happy about it, as being on the field during Super Bowl was one of his dreams. He kicked off the game in his iconic ‘The Rock’ style. However, some people on the field didn’t understand why Johnson kicked off the game in this way.

NFL reporter Dov Kleiman shared a tweet of the same. He tweeted, “Even the #Bengals and #Rams were confused what @TheRock was doing on the field before kickoff 😅”

Many players on the field didn’t understand ‘The Rock’ gig during the kickoff. Therefore, in this video, some players who were wearing a microphone roasted Dwayne as he was doing his thing before the game.

 

The actor’s presence bewildered people like Joe Burrow and Aaron Donald at the Super Bowl. Cincinnati Bengals‘ coach Zack Taylor dropped a funny: “Is that The Rock?” Then Joe Burrow asked in obvious confusion: “What’s he doing out there?”

Substitute quarterback Brandon Allen was next to Joe and joked: “He’s on kick-off returns? They signed him?” Then a Los Angeles Rams player approached Aaron Donald and hilariously told him: “That’s going to be you in 10 years. Your acting career.” Finally, Burrow added: “I like his shoes.” 

Dwayne Johnson is looking to make XFL a major league

Dwayne Johnson surprised everyone in the year 2020 when, along with Dany Garcia, he purchased the XFL from Vince McMahon. Since that day, he has made it a mission to make XFL one of the major leagues in the United States.

Johnson brought multiple changes to the league after becoming the owner. Last month Johnson and Garcia announced a major accomplishment by signing a broadcasting deal with Disney and ESPN.

The league will return to action in February 2023. The Rock is indeed excited about this, but football fans across the world are also looking forward to XFL.
