Former Women’s Champion Teases Comeback Even After Her Unceremonious ‘Trash Bag’ WWE Release

Two years after a less-than-respectful release from WWE, Mickie James has hinted at a possible comeback. In 2021, James received her stuff wrapped in a trash bag, a gesture she did not take kindly to when she was released from the promotion. Despite Triple H acknowledging the mistake and apologizing, things were still sour between her and WWE.
Now, the former WWE and TNA Champion Women’s Champion took to X on 3rd January to respond to a call for help from NXT superstar Fallon Henley. She posted a list of tasks to do on the farm along with a message for NXT’s Cowboy Fallon Henley.
Mickie James cities farm work as an excuse

Mickie James is known as the hardcore country girl, something she adopted in her wrestling gimmick too. For those who do not know, Fallon Henley is an NXT superstar who is also known for her country-girl lifestyle. Even her X account has a cover picture that says Yee Haw, which is also her chant.

1) stalls need cleaning & shavings
2) horses need grooming
3) chicken coop needs cleaning
4) fences need mending

The tweet was in response to a recent call from Henley. On December 12th, Henley took to X to call Mickie James for help through X. She tweeted, “@MickieJames hear me out… what if we saddled up, you taught me to be hardcore country and we went for the WWE Women’s Tag Titles. I’ll bring the drinks! 🍻”

Mickie responded to the call immediately and called Henley her huckleberry. It started an unspoken bond of friendship between the two that could result in a WWE return for Mickie James, despite the trash bag treatment she received. Considering James’ history, it’s a surprise that she had even responded to anyone affiliated with WWE, so a response might be indicative of the fact that things have been smoothed over between her and the promotion.

Meanwhile, as of now, Fallon Henley is occupied in a feud against former NXT Champion, Tiffany Straton. After a marvelous victory on the New Year’s Evil PLE, Tiffany Straton must serve as a farmhand on Henley’s ranch for a day, as per the stipulation.
WWE Royal Rumble 2024: 3 Superstars That Could Return in the Women’s Rumble Match
The two superstars kicked off their feud in October at Halloween Havoc, when Henley mocked Straton in the battle royal and a backstage promo segment. They feuded again in the NXT Deadline and December 19th NXT episode. Despite the battles, it looks like the feud isn’t over yet and Henley will receive aid from Mickie James. The other option is the upcoming Royal Rumble.
