The Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis storyline took a major turn for the good this week on NXT. The main event of the night had a serious stipulation. If Johnny Gargano won, then the Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell relationship was done for. However, if Lumis won, then Gargano and Candice LeRae must give them a chance.

The stage was set as fans wanted to know the fate of “InDex”. Would their love triumph? Or would it slip through their fingers like sand?

The match was titled, “Love Her or Lose Her”. Indi was in a conflicted state of mind as she had to choose between love and family, a decision which is not easy. The match began with both men giving it their all. Both men had the best interest of Hartwell on their minds. But what about Indi? As the match progressed, Indi made her way down to ringside to get a closer look, followed by LeRae.

At one point in the match, Gargano even blamed the Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix for everything that is happening. But the crowd continued their InDex chants.

Escaping a mean right elbow drop, Johnny locked in the Gargano Escape on Lumis. But almost like a movie, Indi helped Dexter reach the ropes. Dexter grabbed the rope, but not before gently caressing Indi’s cheeks.

Was it the end for InDex on WWE NXT?

Gargano pushed Lumis, and he stumbled onto Hartwell, knocking her on the floor. The look of concern on Dexter’s face said it all. But the match wasn’t over. Taking advantage of the distraction, Gargano hit Dexter with the One Final Beat to secure the win. InDex was no more. Or so we thought.

After the match was over, Hartwell reluctantly walked back with Gargano and LaRae. But her love for Dexter didn’t let her get far. Hartwell realized she was making the biggest mistake of her life by leaving Dexter. She ran back to her love and jumped right on top of him. The audience couldn’t believe what they were witnessing as Hartwell and Lumis started kissing right in the middle of the ring.
