In this week’s WWE NXT, the WWE Universe was in for a surprise as RAW Superstar Mandy Rose made a shocking appearance. Rose came out in the middle of the Sarray vs Gigi Dolin match. She stood on the entrance ramp and continued watching the intense NXT Women’s contest. After the bout, the audience in the arena was surprised as Mandy walked off without saying a word.

Could this be the return of Mandy Rose to NXT?

Mandy Rose, who made her NXT debut in 2016, was mainly part of the mid-card category of NXT. She never made it big in the black and yellow brand as her stay in NXT only lasted for a year. Mandy was called up to form a trio that included Sonya Deville and Alexa Bliss i.e. Absolution. 

The WWE Universe was confused, thinking whether her appearance was a one-off or a permanent return to the NXT Brand. But Mandy Rose, via her Twitter, tweeted that she is back, suggesting that it was the beginning of her NXT return.

WWE fans were quick to react to the news as many suggested this was a much-needed move for Mandy’s career. Whereas, some of them said that the switch to NXT was a demotion for Mandy because of her below-par performance in the major brands.

However, her surprise appearance on NXT made sense as she struggled to find TV time on WWE RAW.

Where does Mandy Rose fit in the women’s division of NXT?

Mandy’s return is tremendous news for the NXT brand. It looks like Mandy will have a storyline with Sarray in the upcoming weeks of the show. She threw a satisfied look at Sarray when she defeated Gigi. This look which she gave just before walking off from the entrance ramp could be a sign of a future storyline featuring the duo.

Mandy’s decision to not speak and just look at Sarray gave her a commanding look and arrogance, which can suggest that Mandy could work as a heel.

After the NXT show, McKenzie Mitchell interviewed Mandy and asked about her plans at NXT. Mandy replied, “You will see,” with a quirky smirk on her face.

Rose can be a significant addition to the NXT brand as she certainly has the talent and good promo skills. However, there are a certain group of fans who are of the opinion that Mandy is more of a diva than a wrestler. For Mandy, a switch to NXT will certainly give her a perfect platform to shut these criticisms and showcase her talent as a wrestler.
