WWE NXT is back and with some serious changes. NXT 2.0 was introduced to the world with great promises of a better quality of programming and storylines. And now the program looks set to deliver on that promise and much more. According to reports, the company is thinking about using bolder language and in-ring aggression on NXT 2.0.

This could be because their prime rival, All Elite Wrestling, uses non-PG language and much more aggressive wrestling. Showing of blood is allowed in AEW, whereas in WWE, it is a big no-no.

According to Fightful, the organization is debating some concepts for NXT 2.0, which are allegedly coming directly from WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. And while the directions are coming from the Chairman, several WWE senior officials knew of the same and supported the decisions.

Another point of discussion was about the apparel of the female wrestlers, however, what decision has been made about the same is yet unknown. Another tip was to “Keep up with current affairs with promos and character verbiage”

The company is looking to make various changes and making NXT 2.0 edgier seems to be a high priority. Even though WWE’s main brands, Raw and SmackDown, do not use non-PG language, there are some superstars, such as Roman Reigns, who have little freedom to use such language.

Can WWE still be on top?

All Elite Wrestling is gaining more popularity with each passing week. On the other hand, the WWE Universe is often critical of the decisions taken by the company unhappy. The breaking up of fan-favorite teams, repetitive feuds, and matches between the same two superstars, etc., are some of the things fans are critical of the WWE.

AEW’s recent signings of Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson have further fueled the fire among WWE fans. Vince McMahon’s company received a lot of criticism over letting Adam Cole leave. Cole is one of the most popular and talented wrestlers in the industry. And in him, AEW has a gem in their hands.

Not only releases, but the WWE Universe is also frustrated with the company’s bad match bookings. The underutilization of talented wrestlers like Ricochet isn’t helping with the situation at all.

Hopefully, WWE management brings about newer changes to their main brands like they did with NXT.
