WWE turned to Twitter to announce this “severe” injury sustained by Walter.

Last week it was announced that Walter and Ilja Dragunov will fight for the NXT United Kingdom Title in a rematch. Both the wrestlers met in an in-ring press conference.

WWE also announced that the two wrestlers had an altercation backstage, which led to Walter’s injury in his left hand.

Is Walter legitimately injured or is it a work to delay the fight?

Many fans consider this “injury” as a part of a shoot to delay the match until the audience is available to witness it. This is because when the rematch was announced last week, many fans speculated why WWE wasn’t waiting until live fans can be in attendance.
