“I Wasn’t Happy About It” – AJ Styles Reveals He Had a Secret Meeting With Vince McMahon

WWE got into a huge controversy regarding third-party apps like Twitch. Many prominent superstars like AJ Styles, Sasha Banks, Cesaro had to shut down their accounts indefinitely.

Although there have been updates that WWE will reopen the accounts after they acquire them. AJ Styles recently spoke to Inside the Ropes and revealed that superstars had a meeting with Vince McMahon.

‘The Phenomenal One’ said, “Myself, Xavier Woods, and Sasha Banks had a sit-down meeting in Connecticut with Vince about this whole situation, and it was determined that it’s intellectual property, this is (points to his face).”

WWE revealed in the shutdown notice how the company “owns” the superstars’ names. However, superstars are listed as “independent contractors”.

We do well, as far as the WWE, and if there’s an opportunity to pay back that money, that we work hard for it at different times, then we probably should.

AJ Styles said no one in the roster was happy

When the notice went public, various outlets issued their backlash. Paige started using her real name, as her name was the “intellectual property” of WWE.

Normally, the roster was unhappy; however, they had no choice but to abide. “I wasn’t happy about it, no one was. But, it is what it is. I’ll handle it the way I have to. I’m a team player, he is the captain, I’ll follow his lead as far as Vince is concerned.”

While he is not happy, he is not ready to rebel against the authority. He is one of the assets of WWE right now.

He is getting pushed as well. After he was drafted to Raw, he became the winner of the Red Brand’s captain at the Survivor Series. Up next, Styles will be challenging Drew McIntyre for his WWE Championship at TLC 2020 in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match on Sunday.
