WWE had its biggest party of the year on Saturday as SummerSlam took place. Befitting for such a heavyweight PPV, the show started with the WWE RAW Tag Team Championship match between AJ Styles and Omos vs challengers RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle).

RK-Bro overcame their internal differences as they challenged the reigning champions on WWE RAW. The match was predicted to be pivotal for both teams and was a “make-or-break” match.

Ahead of the match, Riddle trailed behind Orton. As The Viper did his usual pose on top of the ringpost, an enthusiastic Riddle also followed suit and posed on the turnbuckle. The reigning champions Aj, and Omos came down.

The match started with AJ and Randy going at it each other. Orton hit a suplex early on and tagged in Riddle The team double-teamed as Riddle slammed Styles for an early in.

The Phenomenal was frustrated and tagged in Omos. The giant quickly dominated the former US Campion with some quick slams. Styles came in and used a double-teamed DDT for a pin attempt.

Riddle quickly shook up things with a sudden attack on both Styles and Omos. He then tagged in The Viper. The latter took care of both Omos and Styles. Orton attempted to use the RKO on Styles.

But Omos pulled Styles out of the ring. Although Riddle managed to take down Omos, he also got attacked in turn. AJ Styles then attempted a phenomenal Forearm, but before he could, Orton stopped him.

After a tussle between the duo. Orton finally connected the RKO, and pinned Styles. Randy Orton and Riddle are the newest WWE RAW Tag Team Champions!

Randy Orton and Riddle win their first title as a tag team on WWE

This was Orton’s third Tag Team title in WWE and the first RAW Tag Team Championship. He has previously won the prestigious title in 2006 with WWE Hall of Famer Edge, and with The Wyatt Family in 2016.

However, this is Riddle’s second Tag Team title in WWE and his first main roster Tag title. Riddle has previously won the NXT Tag Team title with Pete Dunne, the United States Championship, and now the Tag Team title.
