In Brodie Lee’s words, “It’s Monday, You know what that means.” While he may say that every day of the week, for us, it means that it’s time for a preview of another episode of WWE Monday Night Raw.
In my opinion, the brand delivered a very good show last week amidst declining ratings. Needless to say, Vince McMahonand Bruce Prichard are working hard to make the most of their depleted resources.
Last week saw the end of some stories while beginning new ones. This week, WWE has announced three segments and there’s a lot more that we expect. Without further ado, let’s jump into the preview of this week’s Raw!

WWE Raw has a lot in store
WWE announced some explosive news via its Twitter handle. The United States Champion Apollo Crews will finally make his much-awaited return to Raw.
Who will walk out of #WWERaw tomorrow night as THE United States Champion: @WWEApollo or @The305MVP?
— WWE (@WWE) August 2, 2020
He has no time to settle in as he’ll be defending his strap against MVP to kick-off the show. For weeks now, MVP has been flaunting his customer made US Championship, claiming that he’s the real Champion.
To be honest, he’s doing a pretty good job of it. With the addition of Shelton Benjamin to The Hurt Business along with the domineering Bobby Lashley, things look too good for MVP.
In addition, it’s an open secret that Paul Heyman was the man behind the renewed push of Apollo Crews. With him gone, don’t be surprised if MVP walks away with the title, even if it’s after some undue interferences.
The second major segment will see Asuka gunning for revenge. Last week, Sasha Banks and Bayley used every dirty trick in the book to steal her title. With Sasha becoming the new Raw Women’s Champion and Kairi Sane gone from the WWE, the future move of Asuka certainly intrigues me.
Will @WWEAsuka be out for retribution on @SashaBanksWWE & @itsBayleyWWE tomorrow night on #WWERaw?

We recently wrote a speculative piece about an explosive direction that she can take. You should’nt miss this one.

The final announced segment will see Drew McIntyre addressing Randy Orton‘s attack on him after his match last week on Raw. Even though the idea didn’t excite me enough initially, the intense promos delivered by the two have shaped things up nicely.
With @SummerSlam on the horizon, what will #WWEChampion @DMcIntyreWWE have to say about @RandyOrton's RKO OUTTA NOWHERE tomorrow night on #WWERaw? pic.twitter.com/Dp9DZrcRiW

It’ll be interesting to see how ‘The Legend Killer’ justifies his attack on a relatively young Superstar.

Apart from these segments, the show will certainly see progression in the Tag Team Championship picture. Last week, Angel Garza and Andrade were crowned as the number one contenders.
Knowing WWE’s style of booking, one of them might face one half of the Raw Tag Team Champions in Street Profits.
The entire Rey Mysterio-Seth Rollins saga will also see another installment. Last week, Dominick Mysterio attacked Murphy and Rollins viciously. Surely, the Monday Night Messiah will have a plan of action.
