WWE Changes The Finishing Maneuver of Top Superstar on RAW

WWE is notorious for changing the names of its Superstars, their popular gimmicks, and even noted maneuvers. The most recent example of this would be Damian Priest.
The former NXT North American Champion recently made his debut on the main roster. Following Royal Rumble 2021, Priest is a part of the RAW roster and is teaming up with rapper Bad Bunny.

On tonight’s RAW (02/22/21), ‘The Archer of Infamy’ took on Angel Garza. Bad Bunny came down from the ramp alongside Priest to show his support. Notably, Priest had helped him win the 24/7 Championship ahead of TLC 2020.
In the match, Garza and Priest both tried to beat the other. They also involved Bunny in the match with some trash-talking. Towards the end, Priest hit two back-to-back kicks.

Damian Priest then used his finisher to pin Garza and win the match. Interestingly, his finisher had been changed from “The Reckoning,” to “Hit the Lights.” Following the match, Akira Tozawa, Humberto Carrillo, and Drew Gulak came running for the 24/7 title.
In the end, Priest and Bunny attacked their opponents and cleared the ring.
Damian Priest has high hopes for his RAW roster
Like we mentioned earlier, Damian Priest recently made his debut on WWE RAW. Before coming to WWE, Priest was a household name in indie promotions like Ring of Honor and NJPW.
However, WWE is notorious for snubbing talented NXT stars on the main roster. The likes of Aleister Black, Finn Balor, and even Keith Lee (to some extent) are testaments to the claim.

“It’s one thing to get here; it’s another to stay. I’m not complacent. I’ll never stop. I’m always going to strive to achieve more.”
“I’m never, ever satisfied, and I always want more. That’s where my whole “Live Forever” mantra comes from. It’s the way I live my life,” Priest proclaimed. “I want my name to stand the test of time, and I have to accomplish so much, in order for my name to live forever. Now I get the chance to get started on Raw, and I can’t wait to show people something they’ve never seen before.”
