As former WWE Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey is still under a WWE contract and WrestleMania season is fast approaching, fans want her to return to the ring as soon as possible. However, one of the top stars of the women’s division, Charlotte Flair, thinks they are better off without her.

The former UFC Champion, Ronda, is out of in-ring action since 2019. Recently, she even commented on her chances to win the upcoming Women’s Royal Rumble. However, Flair has some other thoughts.

To promote the upcoming pay-per-view, Flair took part in a media call. Amidst a plethora of questions, the one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions was asked about her opinions on the rumored return of Rousey.

Alex McCarthy of TalkSport revealed what Flair said on this: “Can Ronda Rousey add to the division? Absolutely. Do we need her? No,” in the press meet.

“Well, ‘need’ is a very strong word. Do I think Ronda adds to the division? 100% — but ‘need’? No. We have an incredible list of already established stars and ones that are on the rise. So, ‘need’ is a strong word, but do I think she brings a lot to the table? 100%,” explained Flair.

Rousey had her last match at WrestleMania 35 when she lost her title to Becky Lynch. However, she resumed training with Roddy Piper’s daughter last year.

“The transition to the storyline with my dad, I guess the most important thing the viewers have to see is how much I have grown as a performer from the last time I was on TV with him,” Flair said. “Fathers and daughters fight. It’s now how I handle it. I’ve turned on my dad before, so now it’s looking at it from a perspective of did he turn on me, or am I just fed up. People will need to see how it plays out.”
