WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg To Make His WWE Return Next Week

WWE returns to live shows this week with Friday Night SmackDown. The pro wrestling giants have planned something big for the next Monday Night RAW as well, as reports reveal the return of Goldberg.

The company will try to garner maximum fan attention and revenue to the live shows. For this reason, previously, there were rumors of John Cena and The Rock’s return. However, Goldberg is actually confirmed.

Fightful Select first broke the news. Apparently, the Hall of Famer will return on the RAW following Money in the Bank to challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2021, on Saturday, August 21 at Allegiant Stadium in Nevada.

Bobby Lashley will face Kofi Kingston at MITB on Sunday, but per reports, he will win again. On the other hand, Goldberg’s contract runs till 2022 and he will have 2 matches per year.

Goldberg’s first appearance and match of 2021 were at Royal Rumble earlier this year. He challenged Drew McIntyre for the WWE title but was unsuccessful in winning so.

The recent WWE history of Goldberg

On Monday at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, Goldberg is scheduled to come and challenge the WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. Goldberg has been a WWE Hall of Famer since 2018.

After he got the ‘Legends Contract’. Goldberg cut down his matches. His first match post-Hall of Fame was in 2019. He wrestled twice as he lost to The Undertaker at Super Showdown in Saudi Arabia. Then he defeated Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam in Toronto.

In 2020, the legend beat The Fiend for the Universal title at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia in February. He became the first wrestler to hold the title after becoming a Hall of Famer.

Goldberg was scheduled to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania last year. But at the last moment, Braun Strowman replaced Roman and defeated Goldberg to win the title on night one of WrestleMania 36.

Since then Goldberg took a hiatus for 9 months. He returned ahead of Royal Rumble 2021, challenged and lost to Drew McIntyre. Apart from Goldberg, Becky Lynch is also rumored to return at Money in the Bank.
