WWE Raw Women’s Champion Asuka faces a tough task on Monday Night Raw. WWE announced some high profile matches for this week. One of those high profile contests will see the returning Mickie James challenge Asuka for the Raw Women’s Title.

Asuka has had a roller coaster ride since winning the vacant Raw women’s Championship after Lynch revealed she was pregnant. Since then, she has had a back-and-forth rivalry with Sasha Banks and Bayley.

Recently on SmackDown, Sasha Banks and Bayley’s friendship ended after the latter attacked the former. This has removed Banks from the picture and will help Asuka concentrate on something new.

On the September 1 edition of Monday Night Raw, Asuka revealed she was ready for anyone who wanted a shot at her Championship. The WWE Universe then saw the return of six-time women’s champion, Mickie James, after 14 months.

The very fact that the women’s championship match is happening on Raw and not at Clash of Champions gives a signal that this is a one-off thing. I feel Natalya and Lana will start their feud by interfering and not allowing James to win the title.

Potential future plans in the WWE for Asuka

The first possibility can be Natalya aiming to win the Raw women’s championship. Recently, the Queen of Harts achieved the milestone for most number of wins in WWE, giving herself the nickname B.O.A.T ( Best of all time).

Another possibility can be the threat to Asuka from Nia Jax or Shayna Baszler. The duo may be Women’s Tag Team Champions but they originally had their eye on the Women’s Championship.

This could end in two ways. In the first scenario, either one of Baszler and Jax might end up facing Asuka. The other possibility could be that they both challenge Asuka, making it a triple threat feud, similar to the small rivalry of DX and John Cena many years back.

The third and biggest possibility could be Asuka getting into a feud with Peyton Royce. A couple of weeks back, The IIconics got disbanded. Last week, Peyton Royce defeated Billie Kay in singles competition.

It is rumored that Vince McMahon sees Peyton Royce as a future singles Superstar. It won’t be surprising if Peyton Royce’s push comes quickly.
