WWE Raw Gets Off to a Fiery Start With RK-Bro, Bobby Lashley, Damian Priest and Others

At this week’s Monday Night RAW (8/30), WWE United States Champion Damian Priest addressed the crowd. However, the announcement soon turned into a full-on party as Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley (with MVP) showed up.
Priest kicked off the show as he welcomed the crowd to RAW. With his championship, Priest became the first-ever wrestler of Puerto Rican descent to hold the US title in WWE.
‘The Archer of Infamy’ said he was restarting the US title open challenge, a tribute to the champions before him, like Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, and John Cena. Unlike WWE Champion Bobby Lashley, Priest is not afraid of a little challenge.

Soon after, former champion Sheamus showed up and demanded his rematch. As Priest brushed him off, former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre showed up in championship pursuit. The Scottish Warrior said he never held the US title and would love to.
There were talks of a triple-threat match between the three men as the music of current WWE Champion Bobby Lashley hit. He showed up with his manager and mentor, MVP.

MVP insulted the Oklahoma City crowd and Priest over his open challenge. He gloated Lashley had already beaten almost everybody in the RAW roster and it would be best for business if The Almighty became a double champion.

Team RK-Bro showed up to a crowded challenge on WWE RAW
After MVP, the music of the new RAW Tag Team champions hit. Team RK-Bro came out to huge applause. Riddle and Randy Orton entertained the crowd as the latter called Lashley, “a greedy son of a b***h,” who wanted a second championship.
Lashley said Orton was right, he did want a second title. But it did not have to be the US title, as it could very well be the RAW Tag Team titles. Riddle promptly proposed a title match against Lashley and MVP.

MVP asked Sheamus to defeat Priest and win the US title so that Lashley could win it back from him. A fight broke out as WWE officials, Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce, approached the ramp.
Deville assured everyone that there were two main events happening in front of her eyes. Pearce and Deville announced Priest will defend against Sheamus and McIntyre in a Triple Threat, while R-K-Bro will defend against MVP and Lashley.
