RAW Superstars Top the List of Women’s Superstars With Most Matches in WWE ThunderDome Era

This Friday night, WWE ThunderDome Era comes to a close. Starting from SmackDown, WWE returns to its live touring with a live audience after more than a year.

From the beginning of the pandemic, WWE shifted its programming to the Performance Centre. Then, to isolate and give the fans the live experience, WWE inaugurated the ThunderDome facility starting from August 21 on SmackDown.

After WWE hosted WrestleMania 37 with a live audience, they started preparing for regular live shows. Coincidentally, their last ThunderDome show ends at SmackDown.

As fans get prepared for the live shows, there have been some interesting discoveries. In the PC/ThunderDome Era, the top 3 women with the most appearances all belong to WWE RAW.

Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Shayna Baszler topped the list with 73 matches, followed by former RAW Women’s Champion Asuka at 72 Matches, and Tag Team partner Nia Jax with 60 Matches.

Asuka held the RAW Women’s Championship throughout the ThunderDome Era and lost it to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 37. Similarly, the quaint team of Jax and Baszler held the Women’s Tag Titles twice, before losing it to Natalya and Tamina on SmackDown.

What are Asuka, Nia Jax, and Shayna Baszler up to on RAW currently?

After losing the Women’s Championship to Ripley at WrestleMania, Asuka tried to reclaim it for a while. But WWE is currently using Ripley vs Charlotte storyline on RAW so ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ was written out of the narrative.

Currently, Asuka is a part of the upcoming Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match at the eponymous PPV. Last year, Asuka won the match and the RAW Women’s title from Becky Lynch.

On the other hand, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax (along with Reginald), were in a brief tussle with Alexa Bliss and her supernatural ways. At Hell in a Cell and on RAW, Bliss hypnotized Nia and Reginald to her advantage.

In the last episode of RAW (and Thunderdome), Asuka, Bliss, Naomi, and Nikki Cross fought in a fatal four-way match which the latter won. All four women are a part of the Money in the Bank Ladder match along with Liv Morgan, Zelina Vega, and one more superstar.
