When WWE first announced Hell in a Cell as its next pay-per-view, many fans double-checked the information. WWE traditionally holds Hell in a Cell towards the end of the year, but this year, the PPV was pushed up for good reasons.

As HIAC is pushed, it will probably be WWE’s last PPV inside the Thunderdome. Sports Illustrated has learned that Money in The Bank would be held in front of a live crowd.

SI reports, “The reason behind the move is that, internally, it is believed that Hell in a Cell in June will be a stronger broadcast from the ThunderDome, while Money in the Bank in July—which is currently slated to be held in front of a crowd in Texas—is significantly more captivating with fans.”

The on-road life would reportedly happen after MITB. SI also confirmed SummerSlam 2021 would take place in Nevada; hence, the live crowd will appear before that.

As captivating as it is, WWE will not return to the ThunderDome once it restarts the on-road journey. Evident from Vince McMahon’s WrestleMania crowd address, WWE couldn’t wait to return to the road.

What could be some upcoming storylines for WWE Hell in a Cell 2021?

WrestleMania Backlash was just one week ago. While there were some interesting outcomes from the PPV, it is still early to predict the upcoming storylines.

However, some things are definitely bubbling in the WWE creative team. There seems to be a budding rivalry between former WWE Champions Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre.

For the current WWE Champion Bobby Lashley, there are multiple opponents, especially Braun Strowman and Kofi Kingston. The latter, on the other hand, could also be feuding with RK-Bro of Randy Orton and Matt Riddle.

Dominik and Rey Mysterio would probably defend their title against former SmackDown Tag Champs The Dirty Dawgs. Sasha Banks is likely to return and challenge for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

However, the storylines regarding the Universal title, RAW Women’s Title, United States title, and Intercontinental title would need some time to get all figured out.

Currently, those titles have either too many or zero new challengers. Roman Reigns defended his Universal title against Cesaro at BackLash. Their rivalry could continue for some more days.

Sheamus is currently holding an open challenge for the US Championship, so the fans never know who turns up next. This Friday on SmackDown, the Intercontinental Championship is having a fatal-four-way match to select a new winner.

Rhea Ripley recently defended the RAW Women’s Championship against both Asuka and Charlotte. Either they could continue the feud or someone new could show up for the title, like Alexa Bliss or even Becky Lynch.
