Royal Rumble 2024 went down in the page of history but seemingly in a lackluster way. A star-studded event launched many breathtaking matches and segments with 66 performers captivating the masses. But somehow, a few repetitive and predictive outcomes ruined the vibe to some extent. To back it up, data showed the Tropicana Field of St Peterburg had oddly been silent throughout the entire night.

Fans seem convinced that the PLE failed to keep them hooked, lacking in the tantalization factor.

Roman Reigns retaining his belt with the help of his subordinate, Solo Sikoa, didn’t sit well with anyone for obvious reasons. They are visibly sick of seeing Reigns getting the upper hand with some assistance from his troops. On the top, the headline attraction, the Men’s Royal Rumble match, didn’t go as per expectations, portraying some blunt bookings.

From 30 men, the match came down to the four ablest men (Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Gunther, and Drew McIntyre) in the closing hour.

Punk got McIntyre out first, and Rhodes tackled the Ring General shortly after. The remaining two butted heads for several minutes until The American Nightmare threw CM Punk over the top rope to clinch his second men’s Rumble victory in a row.

The match was pretty entertaining but quite easy to predict. It just flowed exactly as it should without any added intriguing layers. Most of the eliminations made sense though, some of the comedy stuff was great too, and a few people had their landmark moments.

And last but not least Cody Rhodes did his best to emerge victorious, surpassing the other 29 men and moving a step ahead toward finishing his story. However, the showdown overall didn’t seem to impress the 48,044 crowd.

As a result, they reportedly maintained a comparatively calm demeanor during the PLE, marking it an underwhelming event as a whole.

Fans found the live crowd’s mellow response to the Royal Rumble 2024 pretty valid

Netizens side with the live crowd, justifying their lack of noise throughout.

They found the surprise element majorly missing in the entire event.

Sami Zayn’s entry at #30 highly offended this user.

The choice of returns also failed to get their fans on the edge of their seats, as pointed out by this user.
