This rivalry between the cousins has been getting more and more intense with each passing week. The SmackDown following their match at Clash of Champions, Reigns called out Jey. However, he ended up cutting a promo about how Reigns finally showed the world his true colours.

Reigns’ obsession with being recognised as the ‘Tribal Chief’, and Uso’s refusal to acknowledge him led to Roman offering him another title shot at Hell in a Cell. The following week, Roman confirmed the stipulation of the match- An ‘I Quit’ Hell in a Cell match.

Roman Reigns and Jey Uso came to blows on SmackDown

This week, Reigns defended the title successfully against Braun Strowman, making the ‘Monster Among Men’ tap out to a guillotine choke. Almost immediately after the final bell rang, Jey Uso marched down to the ring to confront Roman.

Roman laughed at Jey after he refused to attack him despite offering Jey the chair he battered Strowman with. Seeing Roman enjoy this, Jey smacked him with a hard right and a superkick that floored the champion.

He then nailed Roman with vicious chair shots till he was held back from inflicting more damage by referees and officials. Roman got the last laugh though, nailing Uso with a Superman Punch out of nowhere, seconds before the show came to an end.

Both Uso and Reigns will have had to dig deep to switch off the emotional connect they have in order to make the other quit. The ‘I Quit’ stipulation is unconventional, but a fitting way to end this rivalry.
