WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns faced WWE Hall of Famer Edge in the main event of WWE Money in the Bank 2021. Reigns continued his 322-day reigns and was greeted by a surprise visitor at the end.

Reigns made his way to the ring after Edge. Despite a slow start, things took a fast turn when Reigns hit Edge with a Samoan Drop and slammed Edge into the ring post. Edge came back into the ring on the verge of a count-out, only to be dominated once again.

The Universal Champion held back Edge with a chin lock, but the ‘Rated R superstar’ tried to break it up with punches. But Reigns came through with a solid right-hand slap and a kick from the ringside.

Edge and Reigns both went down with kicks and punches. Edge finally applied the Cross-face chokehold, but Reigns grabbed the rope to break the hold.

As The Tribal Chief recovered, Edge attempted a spear. However, Reigns countered it with the Guillotine hold. Before completely fading out, Edge took down Reigns to the ringside.

Outside the ring, Reigns went in for a spear but was slammed onto the barricade. Edge came back and stopped the referee’s count “to do it right”. He went outside and speared Reigns on the barricade before carrying him back into the ring.

However, that was not enough as Reigns broke the pin. Reigns came through with a slap and a superman punch, taking down both his opponent and the referee.
