After the last SmackDown, Jey Uso accepted Roman Reigns as “The Tribal Chief.” Fans were upset and surprised when Uso turned heel and attacked Daniel Bryan upon Reigns’ command. This alliance is looking like the first stepping stone to a Samoan Faction.

The plans of the stable first surfaced when Reigns and Uso Twins teamed up a few years back on RAW. But various storylines, changes, and Reigns’ break from WWE made everything go silent.

However, the rumors resurfaced after Reigns became the Universal Champion and his cousin Jey Uso became the number one contender. After their matches, Reigns made sure his main focus was on becoming the “Head of the Table” of the famous Anoa’i Family.

After Roman Reigns made his cousin bow down, it seems the Samoan Faction is finally beginning to take shape. It will be a matter of time until Jimmy Uso returns from his injuries and joins the faction like his brother and cousin.

There are rumors that the group will be called the “Samoan Dynasty” or “Bloodline.”

Roman Reigns will be leading the Samoan Faction

The Universal Champion has already claimed how his cousins and family members can beat Retribution or any other WWE group. Right now, there are numerous male and female members of the Anoa’i Family on WWE. Apart from the Uso Twins and Reigns, there are Naomi, Tamina, and Nia Jax.

Reigns said he’d like to include Samoa Joe in the faction. Judging from Reigns’ attitude, he is acting like the Mafia Boss-Esque leader of the Anoa’i Family in WWE. After Hell in a Cell, Reigns’ father and uncle Afa and Sika accepted Reigns as the leader.

He included Jey Uso through mind games and emotional blackmail. However, Paul Heyman could also play a role in that. WWE has always had a close connection with the famous family but never had a proper faction.

WWE is probably acting on the possibility now as it will play on the nostalgia/heritage factor. Also, the Samoan Family has always associated with something positive. WWE can turn the tables and portray its members as heels.

Right now, WWE and SmackDown are missing a proper and popular heel faction. On Raw, The Hurt Business switches between Heel and Face while Retribution is slowly losing its relevance.

WWE could also use the heel faction to bring back The Rock. He might come and defeat the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns at WrestleMania’s main event to make the faction face again.

The Samoan storyline is getting really interesting day by day as millions of viewers tune into SmackDown each Friday. What do you think about the probable storylines? Let us know in the comments below.
