Things really got shaken up on WWE Draft 2020. This week’s WWE SmackDown will be the first event to reflect all the big changes. Keeping that in mind, WWE announced another title match for this week.

As we all know, SmackDown’s Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, will defend his Universal Championship against Braun Strowman. The match is the main event this week.

However, WWE announced another title defense earlier today. The newly drafted and “crowned” SmackDown Tag Team champions, The Street Profits, will face Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler and defend their title. This match is truly the WWE Draft’s aftermath because everyone in the match is new to the Blue Brand.

Robert Roode can’t wait to take on The Street Profits on WWE SmackDown

Robert Roode made his long-awaited comeback just a few weeks before WWE Draft. He got three title opportunities, out of which he lost two.

On his first night back, he took on WWE Champion Drew McIntyre but was unsuccessful. Last week on Raw, he and friend Dolph Ziggler faced Raw Tag Team Champions New Day but lost again.

Ziggler and Roode were the second picks in the ninth round by SmackDown in the WWE Draft while the then RAW Tag Team Champions in Ford & Dawkins were drafted fourth in the fifth round.

Robert Roode said, “Being handed over the titles doesn’t make you a champion.” He and Ziggler are hopeful they will be the new champions this time.
