WWE Clash of Champions is over, and things are heating up for Hell in a Cell. WWE confirmed the Universal Championship match for the upcoming PPV on the latest episode of SmackDown. The good news is that WWE is not giving up on the storyline between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso.

Seeing how obsessed Jey Uso is with the Universal Championship, Reigns gave his cousin another title match at the upcoming pay-per-view. However, he warned him that the match will have the highest stakes than any match in WWE History.

Considering the ultimatum and ominous tone of Reigns’ voice, the match is highly likely to be a “loser leaves the company/brand.” Those matches have the highest stakes in the wrestling world. However, the stakes could be even higher with some added stipulations.

Roman Reigns is not happy with how things turned out

This week’s SmackDown began with a swift recap of the title match between Reigns and Uso. Although Paul Heyman was ready to have Roman Reigns as “the Tribal Chief of WWE Universe,” Reigns was not happy with it. He wanted his “brother” Jey Uso to acknowledge him as the Tribal Chief and he called Uso out.

Jey Uso came out to a thunderous response from the virtual crowd. As soon as he made his way to the ring, Uso said he doesn’t know Reigns. Reigns showed his true colors at the Clash of Champions, and so did he. Uso claimed that even though Reigns beat his a**, if it weren’t for Jimmy throwing in the towel, the title would be in Jey’s arms.

Roman retaliated by saying he is not proud of what he did at the PPV. He said, “Clash of Champions was the worst match of my life, professionally and personally.” All he wanted was to give Uso a chance at the main event and a chance to make his wife and kids proud. All he wanted in return was Uso’s acknowledgment.

A “disrespected and heartbroken” Reigns then challenged Uso at the upcoming PPV which the latter readily accepted.
