The Universal Champion Roman Reigns and his counselor Paul Heyman kicked-off the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown. The counselor revealed how he laid all his cards on the table last week after winning the Universal Championship with Roman Reigns five days earlier at Payback.
Heyman emphasized on how Uso stepped up to become No.1 contender. Soon, with the authority of Reigns, Heyman introduced his brother Jey Uso.
Uso thanked Heyman and Reigns for all the strings pulled last week. However, Reigns didn’t want a thank you because they were blood. Reigns reminded Uso it was their childhood dream and how Uso had made the family proud.
The ‘Big Dog’ promised Jey Uso that WWE Clash of Champions will be about love between the brothers. However, Reigns made it clear the love will be after the Champion kicks his brother’s a**.
King Corbin soon interrupted the two Superstars. Despite being the representative of royalty, Corbin wasn’t too impressed by the nepotism. Sheamus was out next and he agreed with Corbin.
Soon, Uso proposed a tag team match against Corbin and Sheamus with Roman Reigns in his corner. The match was soon made official.
Jey Uso and Roman Reigns are from the well known Samoan bloodline. They are a lineage full of warriors. A difference in wrestling styles i.e. Uso’s high flying vs Reigns’ strong powerhouse style should give the WWE Universe many awe-inspiring moments.
As Michael Cole rightly mentioned earlier tonight, Jey Uso has never received a singles title shot in his entire career. This alone can be a huge motivation for Uso to perform well.
The captivating factor for the WWE Universe, though, will be the brother vs brother situation. In all their years in the WWE, Reigns and Uso have always been on the same side of the ring.
This match has the potential to be the match of the night. However, if we go by the reputation of Reigns since his return, this mostly looks like a squash match in the favor of Reigns.
