Last week, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Jey Uso thrashed Kevin Owens throughout the arena. On this week’s SmackDown, Reigns tried to clarify and contextualize the actions of last week.

In the opening statement, Reigns even said that he “liked’ Kevin Owens. He “respects someone as ambitious as Owens. Someone who won’t lay down, someone who keeps getting up.”

He then asked to see WWE Official Adam Pearce. Pearce officiated the match between Owens and Uso last week.

As Pearce made his way into the ring, we got a long video about what went down last week. As Pearce made his way into the ring, Reigns straight up blamed him for putting Owens “back into the shark tank.”

He said it was ultimately Pearce’s fault because he decided that Owens would again come face to face with the Tribal Chief’s punishment. Reigns then quickly shifted his attention to the Gauntlet match to determine his opponent for Royal Rumble.

“WWE Official Adam Pearce is going to make the choice for the Head of the Table, the Tribal Chief, the Universal Champion like I can’t pick my opponent,” taunted Reigns. “Like I haven’t done enough work around here like I haven’t carried this company for years!”

Roman Reigns might feud with Adam Pearce

While Reigns kept thrashing Pearce, he agreed he might not understand the trades of the sport but that is why he has Paul Heyman. Reigns asked if Pearce thought he or Vince McMahon was stupid. When Pearce denied that, Reigns said Pearce must have indicated how Reigns is stupid then.

Reigns quickly started talking about how Pearce is insulting his family in front of everyone. When someone insulted his family, Reigns sought revenge with the “consequences.” Reigns grabbed Pearce by the collar and asked him to face Reigns in the ring,

As things started getting heated up, Paul Heyman intervened. Pearce stated he respected Reigns and his contributions to WWE. Heyman requested Reigns to put his hands off Pearce.

Reigns ended the segment with a chilling warning, “Maybe no one in this room is stupid, and maybe right now… right now, you’re perfectly safe.”

In this segment, Reigns not only put his hand on a WWE Official to intimidate him but also emotionally blackmailed him. Last time, Braun Strowman got into trouble for attacking Pearce and faced a suspension.
