Roman Reigns is the ‘tribal chief’ of WWE and is on his way to dominating the entire roster. He and his entourage are inarguably one of the most interesting parts of WWE programming.

However, if one pays a little attention during WWE SmackDown, they must notice something very interesting. WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns never appears in the middle of the show. According to recent reports, this is not a coincidence.

As a part of his “Head of the Table” gimmick as well as one of WWE’s marquee players, Roman enjoys more creative control than most of the roster.

Keeping that in mind, he had started a new tradition of either opening or closing (or both) the shows.

According to Dave Meltzer, “You put the most important first or last. That’s the big argument right now with Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns will either go first or last. He won’t go anywhere else, that’s a shoot.”

“He doesn’t want to go (anywhere) but first, because that’s okay, or last, which is preferable because he’s the main event and he doesn’t want to go second or fourth or second from the top,” revealed Meltzer.

Roman Reigns remains undefeated on the roster

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Reigns took a sabbatical from WWE last year. While many fans speculated Reigns would now be in trouble with WWE, that was certainly not the case.

He came back at SummerSlam last year with an attack on newly crowned Universal Champion The Fiend. Reigns, now fully heel for the first time in his singles career, promptly won the title next week at the Payback PPV.

Since then, Reigns has been a part of a plethora of feuds, most notably against his cousin Jey Uso and Kevin Owens. In each of his matches, he put the title on the line (except Survivor Series), and each time, he won. Roman is undefeated since his second coming in WWE.

Be it Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, or even WWE Hall of Famer Edge, no one could topple the throne of Reigns. On the last SmackDown, he unleashed a brutal attack on SmackDown Tag Team Champions, Rey and Dominik Mysterio.
