On the last SmackDown, Daniel Bryan went up against Jey Uso in the hopes of facing Roman Reigns at the upcoming Fastlane. However, the match ended in an abrupt count out as “The Tribal Chief” took matters into his own hands.

Despite that, WWE is willing to give the modern era “People’s Champ” another chance. On Talking Smack, Reigns’ Special Counsel, Paul Heyman, offered a rematch to Daniel Bryan. However, he had one condition – it should happen inside the steel cage.

The official announcement stated, “If Bryan won, he would get his Universal Title Match at WWE Fastlane. If he lost, however, he had to acknowledge Reigns as The Head of the Table and the best competitor ever. Bryan accepted the offer with the condition that the rematch is in a Steel Cage to assure a clear winner.”

Roman Reigns reacts to SmackDown’s Steel Cage match

Following the official announcement, Reigns shared his thoughts on the Steel Cage match. Reigns, who has emerged out of his recent cage matches as a winner, thinks Bryan will “end up in the same place. On the ground. Knocked out.”
