Sami Zayn has a nomination for Slammys 2020

Although Sami has declared war on the Slammys, he is also nominated under ‘The Return of the Year.’ Sami Zayn won the Intercontinental Championship at Elimination Chamber earlier this year.

He then had a feud with Daniel Bryan over the title. However, WWE vacated the title after he refused to participate in matches due to the coronavirus pandemic.

He returned in August with his own Intercontinental Championship and challenged the validity of then-champion Jeff Hardy. At Clash of Champions, Zayn defeated Hardy and challenger AJ Styles in a triple threat ladder match to reclaim the Intercontinental Championship.
