After weeks and weeks of speculation, the Universal Championship match has finally been set for the biggest party of the summer. On the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE announced that “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt will be challenging Braun Strowman for the coveted title.

With this, the card for SummerSlam already looks stacked. It’s notable that Drew McIntyre has already been booked against the vicious Randy Orton in a WWE Championship bout.

If you didn’t catch the latest episode of the blue brand, I’m here to recapitulate the happenings for you.

Braun Strowman emerges from the swamp on WWE SmackDown

Ever since the swamp fight at Extreme Rules, the monster among men has been conspicuous by his absence. Notably, Wyatt drowned him in the swamp that night after a battle that took both men to their limits.

Last week on SmackDown, ‘The Fiend’ crossed all limits of insanity as he attacked a vulnerable Alexa Bliss. This week, he again targeted ‘The Goddess.’

However, in the mother of all strange sequences, Bliss caressed his face while he was looking to apply another brutal mandible claw. For a moment, it seemed like she had pulled the strings of the non-existant heart of the monster.

However, Wyatt immediately withdrew himself, visibly disappointed at being drawn by the mind games. Suddenly, Braun Strowman appeared on the big screen!

Keeping in consonance with his trend of cryptic promos, Braun suggested how Wyatt had woken up the evil in him. In fact, it was now time for Bray to face his fears as Braun tapped into his dark side.

He also made it clear that he didn’t care about Alexa Bliss and Wyatt’s attacks on her had had no impact on his psyche. For the first time in weeks, it looked like Braun Strowman raced ahead in the mental marathon.

The strangest part of the entire scenario was the brief moment of affection between Bliss and Wyatt. Obviously, this opens up a wide array of possibilities.

Personally, I would love to see Bliss side with Wyatt and cost Strowman the title. Considering how talented both Alexa Bliss and Brah Wyatt are, they can form a very intriguing duo.
