For the Christmas edition of SmackDown, WWE has planned something great. The show may not feature Santa himself, but the company has certainly planned a stacked card. The show will feature not one, not two, but three title defenses including the Universal title!

#1 Roman Reigns (C) vs. Kevin Owens – Steel Cage Match For Universal Championship

After a Samoan beatdown at WWE TLC, Kevin Owens is again ready to challenge Roman Reigns. However, in the TLC match, Jey Uso was with Reigns and helped him immensely.

This time, both men will be alone and will have to fend for themselves as they will be locked inside a steel cage. While Reigns has already defended his title against Uso at Hell in a Cell, can he do it again? Can Owens finally emerge as the new champion? We have to look out for the Blue Brand.

#2 Sami Zayn (C) vs. Big E – Lumberjack Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

Sami Zayn has been complaining for weeks about how WWE has robbed him off of opportunities. However, it is Zayn who has slipped out from Big E’s hands multiple times. The former member of New Day has tried to capture the title but Zayn’s tricks have always got the better of him.

However, to prevent any kind of ‘mishap’, WWE has announced a Lumberjack match for the IC title. With the SmackDown locker room surrounding the ring, the match will be as fair as it gets.

The official preview said, “Since being separated from The New Day in the 2020 WWE Draft, Big E has been determined to reestablish himself as a singles competitor. Can “The Powerhouse of Positivity” overcome the endless bag of tricks from the self-professed “Master Strategist” to reclaim the workhorse title? How will the Superstars surrounding the ring factor into the equation?”

Big E pinned Sami Zayn to win at the eight-man tag-team match at the TLC kick-off show. We have to see if he can get the W when it matters.

#3 Charlotte Flair & Asuka (C) vs. Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks, and Carmella and Bayley – Triple Threat Elimination Match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

After a glorious return and win at WWE TLC, Charlotte Flair and the RAW Women’s Champion Asuka will take on almost the entire SmackDown locker room. WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks will team up with Belair.

Banks and Belair’s current rivals, Carmella and Bayley, will also be in the match. However, the ‘actual’ tag team of the Blue Brand, the Riott Squad, has surprisingly been snubbed.

#4 Jey Uso vs. Daniel Bryan

Jey Uso also has a match this Friday. He attacked Daniel Bryan a couple of weeks ago, and now it’s Bryan’s turn for justice. Can the former World champion send a message to the Tribal Chief by defeating his second-in-command?

Or will the Samoan soldier lay another foundation for the Tribal rule on the blue brand? We all have seen how ‘disappointed’ Reigns gets after a defeat.
