Now, as per a report from Essex Echo, Johnson might be on his way to the south of England and link up with Southend United. His involvement with the soccer club can benefit the soccer players, and the club as a whole, and give them a new sense of motivation and global attention.

Rumors have it, Dwayne Johnson might do something similar to what Reynolds did with Wrexham, and shoot a documentary using his own Seven Bucks Production. Although, unlike Reynolds, Johnson would not be taking ownership of the club, but instead work behind the scenes and shoot a documentary with them. His involvement with them, could act as a major aid, and provide gains for the club, mainly due to three reasons.

Dwayne Johnson is a proven businessman, and his experience can help Southend United

Recently majority owner Ron Martin put the Southend up for sale after it narrowly escaped liquidation. Several local businessmen have expressed their interest in buying the club with Integral Sports Management, a sports agency the favorites. The group is keen to have The Rock’s Seven Bucks production company film a documentary for the club similar to what Reynolds did with Wrexham.

The $800m superstar is a successful and proven businessman, with several arrays of ventures to his name. Starting from his Seven Bucks Production to Teremana Tequila, and even the XFL. Johnson has proved himself in the business industry, and his experience here could help the soccer club known as “The Shrimpers.”

He launched Teremana Tequila, a few years ago, and took that business to great heights within a few years. Similarly, his involvement with the England soccer club could bode well for them. XFL was a failed football league, Johnson took over it and completely revamped it to complete its first successful season.

Running a soccer club is no less than a business, and Johnson’s involvement with Southend could give them the desired spotlight that they need in order to shine.

Dwayne Johnson’s international fame could be a game-changer for Southend United

Just like Ryan Reynolds picked up Wrexham, and did a documentary with them, The Brahma Bull of WWE could do the same as well. The club’s prospective new owners are reported to be in talks with Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks Production to film a documentary for the club.

Dwayne Johnson is known for his worldwide fame and global popularity. A household name all over the world, Johnson has reached the epitome of success. His filmography consists of the  Fast & Furious franchise, Jumanji franchise, and quite a few more hits. Boasting 381 million followers on Instagram, and 17 million followers on Twitter, Johnson could help Southend United reach new spheres of popularity and global exposure.

The Rock is known for achieving success. And after what Reynolds did with Wrexham, he might be on the same path.

A documentary could motivate the players to give their best and perform better. And, Johnson’s international fame could bring in potentially more sponsors and help the club both on and off the field.

Dwayne Johnson can be a motivational factor for the team

It is not always finance and money which makes a team good. It often comes from good team spirit. Dwayne Johnson is known for his inspiring and motivational stories. Often, the 51-year-old takes to his Instagram to share motivating life stories from his past.

He can do the same with Southend United, and push them to do better. With him possibly being part of the documentary, we are bound to witness one inspirational speech from the former WWE Champion. He has a history of motivating sports stars. Johnson once gave a motivating speech to LA Laker players and left them inspired.

A similar fire might be missing in Southend United toward their quest for promotion after finishing 8th in the fifth division. Johnson’s presence in their locker room could be added motivation to do better as it could open up a world of opportunities for the club and those associated with it.

Wrexham’s success has been one of a kind, and many people believe it was Reynold’s choice of buying and investing in the club that turned their fortunes around.
