Dwayne Johnson recently landed in some trouble. In the recent episode of SmackDown, fans saw Cody Rhodes stepping down so that Johnson could challenge Roman Reigns at the upcoming WrestleMania 40. This has brought in plenty of reactions from fans who are against this decision. However, amidst all this chaos, the Hollywood star took time to send best wishes to a dear friend of his ahead of a big bout.

Taking to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) the Brahma Bull decided to send some warm regards to welterweight UFC star Themba Gorimbo. In the tweet, Johnson wrote, “He fights to pay it forward Wishing my brother  @TheAnswerMMA (Themba Gorimbo) best of luck today in his @UFC welterweight fight on FIGHT NIGHT on @ESPN+.”

He further mentioned how inspiring the UFC star’s story is. Johnson also stated that when he flew out to meet Gorimbo in person, he could not believe how humble the star was. The UFC fighter hails from Zimbabwe and competes in the Welterweight category.

Since his debut, he has won 12 matches and has lost 4 matches. He commonly goes by his in-ring name, The Answer. The welterweight fighter has inspired many with his story since then.

On February 2nd, 2024, Johnson-owned ZOA Energy Drinks announced its partnership with the UFC fighter. In the press release, the company stated that it stands with Gorimbo and his philanthropic views. Gorimbo, who coincidentally had 7 dollars in his bank account, built a well for the people in his village after he auctioned his in-ring gear following his first UFC victory. Since then, Johnson has sought the UFC star out and decided to do more for him.

In an act that melted the hearts of fans all across the globe, the former WWE Champion gifted Gorimbo a fully furnished house in Miami. Apart from that, he announced that he would be providing mentorship to Gorimbo so that he could achieve new heights in his career. The ZOA Energy Drink sponsorship came quite late into the picture.
