During his UFC run, he came across several talented individuals. And one of them is Frank Mir. In fact, Frank Mir was Lesnar’s first opponent in the UFC.

During an interview with Chris Van Vliet on a recent episode of Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Mir talked about Brock Lesnar’s professional wrestling career. At first, he claimed he does not know much about Lesnar’s pro wrestling career as he has not watched it often. But later revealed his understanding of Brock Lesnar’s pro wrestling career after listening to other people in the industry.

Frank Mir said, “From what I understand listening to other people in the industry, he does the bare minimum of what he has to do to catch a check, and I don’t fault him for that. Look, we all got to make money. I think he’s more naturally a fighter than he is a pro wrestler. So I think it’s not his first love, but financially it pays better and obviously he can continue to do it for a lot longer.”

Frank Mir and Brock Lesnar have fought against each other twice. In Lesnar’s first UFC match, he suffered a loss to Mir. But at UFC 100, Lesnar got his revenge on Frank Mir by successfully defending his UFC Heavyweight Championship against Mir.

How did Frank Mir feel before his first match against Brock Lesnar in the UFC?

In another interview with Chris Van Vliet earlier, Frank Mir talked about his feelings before his UFC 81 match against Lesnar. In that interview, Mir revealed he considered the WWE legend as a very legitimate threat because of Lesnar’s wrestling background.
