MMA’s women’s division wasn’t the most watched thing in combat sports until Ronda Rousey became a top name. She ruled the division while her time in MMA by going undefeated in 12 straight fights. Undoubtedly, Rousey is the cornerstone of making the MMA women’s division a top thing in MMA.
Similarly, UFC legend Frank Mir recently had a great story in which he praised ‘The Rowdy One’s contribution to his daughter’s training in MMA.

Frank Mir appeared on Chattin Pony w/ Paddy Pimblett podcast two days ago. He recalled telling his daughter to stop training in MMA as the women’s division wasn’t flourishing and had fatherly concerns. However, he claims Ronda Rousey‘s MMA rise changed his decision.
Mir reminisce, “I started explaining to her there is a thing called biology and she is a female. She’s not gonna get any much bigger and those males are gonna have this influx of testosterone and you might be kicking their a** now but that’s gonna change really quickly and I don’t need you get hurt.”
He added, “And so then Ronda Rousey happen! And that changed my arguments where I was like s*it the second highest-paid athlete to ever do MMA is a woman. So as a father I want my children to do something they love first and foremost.”

Mir had his reasons for putting a pause in his daughter’s MMA dreams, as he didn’t want her to get hurt and get paid less in the future. However, it’s sure that The Baddest Woman on the Planet’s rise in MMA has already contributed to many future fighters’ training.
The former UFC star also shared how he stopped his daughter from playing football in her freshmen year. She was the only female non-kicker on the team. But because of the fear that she might get hurt, Mir told her to stop playing football.
How many times has Ronda Rousey defeated her opponents in the first round in MMA?
The Arm Collector stormed into MMA with the aim of conquering the sport and, indeed, she successfully did it. Rousey was one of the fighters who defeated her opponents in the first round.

Rousey has fought in UFC, KOTC: Turning Point, HKFC: School of Hard Knocks 12, and Strikeforce. Combining her record of the same, she has completed 11 fights in the first round. Of those 11 fights, she defended her championship six times.

However, in this 11-fight record, there is one more hidden record. Rousey has won eight matches in under a minute. Therefore, it is true to say the bout rarely saw the second round when The Rowdy One was an active MMA fighter.
